0 - Logging into Chrome
Having logged into chrome means you won't have to log into drive every time you open google. It will save passwords as well as bookmarks. If your computer crashes and you "loose" your bookmarks you will be able to login into chrome on your new computer and your bookmarks will be restored.
I will also show you how to import (bring over) your bookmarks from internet explorer or any other web browser you have been using so you don't have to start all over again with chrome. |

1 - Downloading DriveThis video demonstrates downloading the g:drive onto your desktop enabling you to access Microsoft products (word, excel etc) like they were in a regular folder on your computer (not downloading/uploading).
Why do we want to download drive?
3 - Working OfflineWorking offline is only available once drive is accessible on the desktop. It will only work if the item you wish to edit offline is synced to your computer and open before going offline.

2 - Adjusting prefrencesGoogle Drive online (for education) has unlimited space, however, our computers don't, so downloading the drive can reduce our computer space. Changing your preferences enables you to select what folders/files you want to see on your desktop to limit the amount used. Every term I change my preferences to only show the unit for that term.
4 - Layout DriveWe all have different preferences on how we like to set out our information and organise ourselves. Google provides us with a few different options around layout, moving documents and information around as well as managing shared information.
